Song Of The Day: "Drip" by MOOD ROBOT

This is good artwork

Today's song of the day comes from one of my favorite pop kids Kevin. Isn't it great when your friends have great taste in music?

Anyways, MOOD ROBOT are an LA-based synth pop band in the same vein as CHVRCHES, while making music that sounds nothing like CHVRCHES, but using the same capital letters as CHVRCHES.

Their new EP "The Story We Tell Ourselves" is really good, especially if you like songs that all sound the same. "Drip" is the best song off the collection and sums up their unique sound of mixing hazy 80's synths, video game bleeps, and surf rock guitar riffs really well. It's really great when music sounds like nothing else, and if MOOD ROBOT can turn up the tempo a little, I could see them as one of the better indie pop groups on the scene.

The MOOD ROBOT EP is out now on Spotify, and you can follow the band on Facebook, Twitter, and Soundcloud.

Best Line: "I've never been so sedated, never been so faded, but I'm here with you"
